Aluminium Oxide Red Mud Settling

1. Introduction

Red mud sedimentation separation is an extremely complex physical and chemical process. Ore pulp dissolved out with Bayer process is a suspension liquid formed by red mud and sodium aluminate solution, because there are complex physical and chemical interactions between red mud particles and the solution.

If appropriate flocculant can be chosen, the application of flocculant technology can greatly improve the speed of solid-liquid separation and can reduce the size of the separation device.

2. Product Effect

● Flocculation force is strong; and the flocculation process is fast and stable

● Floc formed is small, strong and shearing-resistant

● Efficiently reduce the content of floats in aluminum acid solutions and improve the production capacity of the subsider

● Increase the clarity and improve the quality of overflow

● Underflow liquid-solid ratio is low

● Prevent red mud from swelling

● Little affected by temperature or PH value

3. Instruction

1. Configure alkaline solution of about 1 %.

2. Control the alkali solution temperature at about 50 ℃ and dilute the sedimentation detergent to the alkali solution with a ratio of 0.3% - 0.5%.

3. Store the diluted flocculant in a storage tank and keep it still for 30 minutes, making the product dissolve sufficiently and improving the using effect.

4. Packaging

This product is packed in IBC tanks or packed according to customer requirements.

5. Storage and Transportation

This product is stable in quality and can be stored for 6 months in a sealed and cool status. Attention should be paid to avoiding it contacting with copper, iron, aluminum and other metals. Be sure to have the packaging sealed during transportation. Both automobile transportation and shipping are acceptable.
